The leader of the PSRM parliamentary faction, Vlad Batrincea, having voted for the return of the Russian Federation’s delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) two days ago with Andrei Nastase explains his votewhich was later criticized by the Democrats.

“Thirty nine of the 47 member countries of the Committee of Ministers and the majority of the members of the Parliamentary Assembly voted for the new PACE Regulation, which sets the rights and powers of all countries that are part of the Council of Europe (among which, the Russian Federation), including Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Romania and others.

The new historical and political conditions have been backed by Europe’s most notable and indisputable parliamentarians.

Moldova also voted for a new Europe, a Europe which is united from Lisbon to Vladivostok. I voted for parliamentarianism, for dialogue, for true democracy.

I voted against primitivism and divisiveness. I voted against the problems of the past.

    I voted for the future!

The collapse of a bandit-oligarchic regime and the changes for the better in the Republic of Moldova were possible due to this new approach and common position of Europe, the EC, the EU and Russia.

We, the Socialists, together with the ACUM Bloc, are consolidating powers, creating a new reality, changing history. In this context, we salute the vote of Mr. Andrei Nastase!

And we consider the primitive attempts of the former government to return to divisiveness, to the militaristic rhetoric, absolutely desperate. You have no chance!” writes Vlad Batrincea.

The delegation of the Moldovan Parliament to PACE, includes deputies Andrei Nastase (PPDA) and Vlad Batrincea (PSRM) who voted for this decision and deputy Mihail Popsoi (PAS) who opposed it.
