Austria will donate 100,000 doses of vaccine to Moldova, announced the President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen, during the meeting with President Maia Sandu who is on an official visit to Vienna.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown that we all face the same challenges. It can only be overcome together. Austria supports Moldova with 100,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, Alexander Van der Bellen said.

On October 21, Maia Sandu had a meeting with the President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen, and later the leaders held a joint press conference.

President Maia Sandu pays an official visit to Vienna on October 21-22, at the invitation of her Austrian counterpart.

Maia Sandu will have several meetings with Austrian officials, including Werner Kogler, Deputy Prime Minister, Doris Bures, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Michael Linhart, Federal Minister for European and International Affairs. The head of state will also meet with OSCE Secretary-General Helga Schmid.

On the evening of October 21, President Maia Sandu had a discussion with the representatives of the Moldovan diaspora in Austria.
