    The Romanian Government Signed the Agreement With Moldova on Mutual Recognition of Diplomas, Certificates, and Scientific Titles

    The Romanian Government approved the memorandum on the signing of the Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of Moldova on mutual recognition of diplomas, certificates, and scientific titles. The announcement was made by Adrian Dupu, Secretary of State of the Department for Relations with Moldova within the Romanian Government.

    According to the document, compared to the provisions of the Agreement in force, the new Agreement includes the following aspects:

    • Recognition of certain pre-university diplomas from Moldova, high school diploma, general secondary education diploma, graduation diplomas of colleges and basic medical schools, with a duration of at least 3 years of studies, after graduating from the general school of 9 years of studies;
    • Recognition of certificates of secondary education in general from Moldova issued before and after 2011;
    • Recognition of short-term university studies with studies in non-university tertiary education;
    • Recognition of diplomas and certificates obtained at the graduation of postgraduate studies, postgraduate specialization studies, and postgraduate training courses.
