I want to express gratitude to Romania for this generous donation of vaccines delivered through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. This first lot will be utilized for the medical workers fighting in the front lines. Equitable and fair access to vaccines is a key element in ending the pandemic. The European Union and its Member States, acting together as ‘Team Europe’ are proud to also support the COVAX platform in delivering vaccines to our partners”, said Peter Michalko, Ambassador of the European Union to Moldova.
