The Center for Independent Journalism has launched the White Book of Mass-Media from Moldova as part of the World Press Freedom Day. The book has the stories of nine media outlets that have managed to develop and to face the challenges, writes media-azi.md.

The book mentions that for almost 16 years Ziarul de Gardă became a school of dignity for generations of reporters and a school of integrity for readers. The book mentions that Ziarul de Gardă reveals with ruthlessness the corrupt acts committed by the public officials, writes with empathy about poverty and shortcomings and discloses with great courage rights violation.

There are nine newsrooms that believed in quality journalism and never gave up on it. They believed in the power of truth and promoted it through their platforms. They did not compromise with politics. They gathered communities of people around them, people who believed in them and followed them. They have transformed, they have adapted, but they have not given up their integrity and their good name.” The Center for Independent Journalism mentioned that these are just some of the criteria that helped to select these media institutions.
