Vlad Filat resigned from the position of president of the Liberal Democratic Party. The Party representatives say that they continue to plead for a pro-European right-wing coalition on the eve of the July 11 election.

After the meeting of the National Political Council of the Liberal Democratic Party, Vlad Filat resigned from the position of party president “for personal reasons”.

“Liberal Democrats continue to plead for a pro-European right-wing coalition on the eve of the July 11 election. In this sense, the National Political Council has created a working group that will carry out negotiations with other parties, in order to participate jointly in the early parliamentary elections”, it is shown in an informative note of the Liberal Democratic Party.
