Maia Sandu and Valeria Biagiotii discussed the Italian and Moldovan economic and trade cooperation and about the big Moldovan diaspora working and living in Italy.

“We discussed the need to intensify economic and trade cooperation between our countries, as well as our plans to improve the business environment to increase Italian investments in Moldova. An important topic of discussion was the situation of our compatriots working in Italy and the need to sign the bilateral agreement on pensions. As this agreement is at an advanced stage, we hope that our citizens will benefit from it as soon as possible. We count on Italy’s support in implementing our European agenda”, says Maia Sandu.
