Romania’s new prime minister, Ludovic Orban, said on November 6, in a broadcast that the first visit abroad will be in Moldova, followed by Brussels.

“I want to go to the Republic of Moldova. I will discuss with Prime Minister Maia Sandu.”

Most likely, the second trip will be to Brussels. After the European Commission’s investment vote, I will go to Brussels to meet with the head of the European Commission and several European Commissioners in the areas we are interested in, ” said Ludovic Orban, according to b1.

At the same time, Prime Minister Ludovic Orban says that the Bucharest Executive will continue to carry out projects that will benefit Moldova’s citizens.

“Such as supporting investment with the gas pipeline, preparing energy interconnection, encouraging twinning at the level of local authorities and especially supporting local authorities in Romania to support projects in localities in the Republic of Moldova. The relationship with the Republic of Moldova will be a priority in our Government,” said Orban, in the program Point on Today.

The Orban Government was invested on November 4, in the Parliament’s plenary, with 240 votes “for”.

The same day, the head of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, invited him, in a message published on Facebook, mentioning that she hopes that he will come “as soon as possible”.

She congratulated Orban and wrote that he “has always been a supporter of democratic processes in the Republic of Moldova and has been helping citizens at the most difficult times.”
