Another million for officials’ rest at villas on the banks of the Dniester River

The Holercani Pension, located on the banks of the Dniester River, 50 km from Chisinau, is the place where, year after year, several ministries and state agencies spend millions of lei from the public budget to benefit from rest villas.

Although this year, compared to previous years, the relaxation of high dignitaries cost less, 2022 still “thinned” the state budget by 1.1 million lei. After several years in which media outlets were not allowed to film this residential complex, Ziarul de Gardă managed to get the “green light” for exclusive footage. We managed to film the villas that are at the disposal of those who run public institutions, the “cellar” where senior officials can gather when they are on the territory, and the offices or meeting rooms where they meet when they arrive at Holercani.
