Magistrates Dorel Musteață and Ghenadie Plămădeală were promoted to the Supreme Court of Justice. A draft decision was adopted by Parliament on Thursday, November 4th. The judges were appointed until they reached the age of 65.

Magistrate Oxana Robu did not meet the required number of votes to be promoted to the Supreme Court of Justice. Her candidacy was supported by only one parliamentarian.

Ghenadie Plămădeală has been a judge since 1999 when he was appointed to the Hâncești Court. Two years later, in 2001, he was transferred to the Chișinău Court, Buiucani headquarters, and in 2004 he was appointed until he reached the age limit. In 2014, 2016, and 2019, Ghenadie Plămădeală was rated “very good” by the members of the Judges’ Performance Evaluation Board.

In the wealth declaration for 2020, Ghenadie Plămădeală declares that she owns a house with accessory constructions and a garage, obtained through a donation contract in 2009, but also an apartment of 69 square meters obtained following a 2009 donation contract.

Ghenadie Plămădeală also declares that he owns two cars: a BMW-740i, manufactured in 2009 and bought in 2015 for 24,000 euros, and a BMW X3 XDrive, manufactured in 2013 and purchased in 2019 for 7,000 euros. The judge declares that, since 2014, he has owned a JAWA 350 motorcycle with an attachment, but also about 4 hectares of land that he leases.

Dorel Musteaţă has been a judge since 2005 when he was appointed to the Anenii-Noi District Court. In 2011 he became president of the Court, and in 2014 he became a member of the Superior Council of Magistracy. Shortly afterward, he resigned as head of the court, and in September 2016, his colleagues from the Superior Council of Magistracy decided to appoint him, by transfer, to the Chișinău Court, starting with January 1, 2017. In just a year and a half, without having ever activated de facto at the Chișinău Court, Dorel Musteaţă was promoted by the judges of this court to the position of member of the Superior Council of Magistracy.

In the declaration of wealth for 2020, Dorel Musteață indicates that he got a salary of 20,000 euros.
