    Police Detained 4 Moldovan Citizens for Drug Trafficking. They Also Seized Drugs Amounting to 240,000 Euros

    Police announce that four Moldovan citizens, aged between 21 and 31, were detained and placed in custody for illegal drug trafficking. The value of the seized drugs amounts to approximately 240,000 euros. If proven guilty, they risk from seven to 15 years in prison.

    The officers uncovered the illicit activity of a criminal group, specialized in selling synthetic PVP drugs through online stores.

    The police established that, between May and September 2021, four men aged between 21 and 31 years, put into circulation a number of drugs in particularly large proportions, which they were carrying out on the territory of Bălți municipality and the northern part of Moldova.

    Law enforcement officers conducted nine searches at the suspects’ homes, in which they found: 5.5 kg of PVP-salt, 1 kg of marijuana, 8 mobile phones, SIM cards, money in the amount of 1,600 euros, electronic scales, a handmade device for drug use, materials to be used for narcotics.

    The value of the seized drugs amounts to approximately 240,000 euros. Persons suspected of committing the crime were given a pre-trial detention measure. If proven guilty, they risk from seven to 15 years in prison.
