On Saturday, the Romanian Minister of Defense Nicolae Ciucă sent a congratulatory message to the Moldovan counterpart Anatolie Nosatîi, after the inauguration of the Government from Chișinău. “I am convinced that the rich experience he has gained will be beneficial in the process of transforming the Army of Moldova into a modern institution, able to respond to threats in the current security environment,” said Ciuca.

“I congratulate Mr. Anatolie Nosatîi. He has a beautiful military career, commanding important units of the National Army, but also in multinational military structures. I am convinced that the rich experience he has gained will be beneficial in the process of transforming the Army of Moldova into a modern institution, able to respond to threats in the current security environment,” Nicolae Ciucă wrote on Facebook on Saturday.

He added that the National Army is one of the landmark institutions of Moldova, which is getting closer to the models of Western armies.

“Its soldiers are good professionals, who are constantly improving through intensive training and specialized training programs conducted in military institutions in NATO member countries, as well as by participating in complex Alliance exercises and missions in theaters of operations. We will continue to support the modernization processes of the defense capabilities of the National Army of Moldova and I am convinced that, together with Minister Anatolie Nosatîi, we will intensify bilateral cooperation in the field of defense,” the minister added.

The government in Chișinău received the vote of the Parliament on Friday, and the ministers took the oath.
