Former President Igor Dodon claims that the Socialist Party will not vote for the Prime Minister candidate, Natalia Gavrilița. He stated that they want to start the parliament’s dissolution.

Igor Dodon said that the Socialist deputies will not vote for a Government led by Natalia Gavrilița. According to him, in March they will sign the decree on dissolving the Parliament. The statements were made by Igor Dodon on February 3.

“I believe that the Socialist Party deputies should not vote for the candidate. I will recommend to my colleagues not to vote for Governments during this period and to start the early parliamentary elections. The Socialist Party faction will participate in the upcoming Parliament’s sitting, we will discuss with the candidate for prime minister position, will see the program and the members of the Government, but I consider that we should not vote for it,” said the former president.

Dodon also claims that it is most likely that the early parliamentary elections could take place in July.

On January 27, the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, nominated Natalia Gavrilița for the post of Prime Minister.
