Moscow salutes the formation of the ruling coalition and of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Foreign Ministry communicates in a press release.

“We are committed to cooperating with the democratically elected Moldovan authorities to restore mutually beneficial Moldovan-Russian relations in various fields, in line with the provisions of the 2001 Friendship and Cooperation Treaty.

We count on the rapid stabilization of the situation in Chisinau in the interest of all Moldovan citizens and the further development of the country. The only possible way to solve the internal political crisis in Moldova is through dialogue between all responsible political forces, in accordance with generally accepted democratic principles,” the Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Russian Federation said.

The European Union is also willing to cooperate with the “democratically legitimate government on the basis of a mutual commitment to reforms and the fundamental principles enshrined in our association agreement,”

The weekend of 7-9 June 2019 could remain as one of the most important periods in the history of Moldova.
