On Tuesday evening, 9 May, from 22:00, the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 – Europe’s biggest music event – will take place. 15 countries, including Moldova, will fight for a place in the grand final.

Our country’s representative, Pasha Parfeni, will take to the stage in Liverpool with his song “The Sun and the Moon”. The performer can be supported by voting, with the code 10, by audiences from the countries participating in the first semi-final and from the US and Canada.

Joining Moldova in the first semi-final will be artists from Sweden, Finland, Israel, Norway, Czech Republic, Serbia, Switzerland, Portugal, Croatia, the Netherlands, Malta, Latvia, Azerbaijan and Ireland.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI) urges Moldovans living in the countries participating in the first semi-final, as well as those from the USA and Canada, to support our country’s representative through SMS voting and official Eurovision apps:

“Representing Moldova is an honour and a responsibility. We are proud to be part of this competition that celebrates diversity, unity and the power of music. Pasha Parfeni and his team will bring the Sun and the Moon to the Liverpool stage tonight. We would like to encourage all citizens to support and promote our country’s representative at Eurovision by voting and sharing positive messages on social media,” announced MFAIE.

The Eurovision semi-final can be watched on the public TV channel Moldova1 and on the YouTube page: https://youtube.com/@EurovisionSongContest.
