Elections in Gagauzia ATU: By 18:30, 43 025 voters turned out at the polling booths

Up to 18:30, 43 025 voters were present at the polling booth, representing 39.53% of the total electorate registered in the electoral lists.

The distribution of votes by areas is as follows: 19 129 voters in the Comrat district, representing 39.62%, 17 028 voters in Ceadir-Lunga district – or 41.9%, 6868 voters in Vulcanesti district – or 34.52% according to  nokta.md .

The candidates for the position of Bashkan in Gagauzia are Irina Vlah, Serghei Cimpoes, Ivan Burgudji, and Dmitri Manol.

The election is being monitored by 192 observers.

Polling stations close at 21:00.

The elections for the new Bashkan, scheduled for May 19, were postponed by the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia to June 30.
