The President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will pay an official visit to Ukraine on January 12. She will meet with the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister, Denis Shmygal, and the president of the parliament, Dmytro Razumkov.

The presidential institution informs that the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will pay an official visit to Ukraine on January 12.

“In Kyiv, president Maia Sandu will have an official meeting with the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmygal, and with the President of the Parliament, Dmytro Razumkov. The official delegation’s members will be announced soon”, the informative note says.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, previously stated in an interview for The New York Times that he supports Maia Sandu and that he wishes Moldova a democratic development. Zelensky also mentioned that he knows what Sandu’s position is towards Crimea, the Donbas war, and, in general, towards Ukraine while the ex-president Igor Dodon’s position was not so clear.

Maia Sandu and Volodymyr Zelensky met earlier when the current president was prime minister.
