Heavy Precipitations Flooded Several Southern Moldovan Districts

The recent rainy weather swallowed several houses and dozens of people are stuck in the mud on the flooded roads.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (IGSU), following the torrential rains in the Comrat district, the Gagauzia region, the rainfall affected 39 private households and damaged two natural gas supply pipes. Rescuers evacuated 11 people and unblocked several transport units from southern Moldova.
Commissions for exceptional situations for the estimation of damages are active on the spot. IGSU employees continue to provide assistance to the population in the affected areas.
