The Political Party Patria and Our Party will soon merge. The announcement was made by Renato Usatîi, mayor of Bălți city, the north of Moldova.

On August 4, Usatîi announced that the Political Party Patria and Our Party will soon merge in one party.

At the same time, he mentioned that he will communicate the decision to participate in the presidential election on August 27.

“On Independence Day, together with the whole country, we will make the decision. Not to participate, as some say, but to win, “said the mayor of Bălți during a press briefing, adding that President Igor Dodon’s scenarios for postponing the presidential election scheduled for November 1 will not be allowed.

Until now, Octavian Țîcu (deputy in the Parliament), Andrei Năstase (the leader of the Dignity and Truth Party Platform), Dorin Chirtoacă (former mayor of Chișinău), and Maia Sandu (leader of the Action and Solidarity Party) have announced their intention to run in the November 1 presidential elections.
