More than 20 raids in Balti organised by the National Anti-Corruption Centre on corruption cases

National Anti-Corruption Centre (NAC) officers and anti-corruption prosecutors are carrying out more than 20 raids in Balti on Thursday, May 11, in connection with corruption cases. The information was confirmed to Ziarul de Gardă by Angela Starinschi, spokeswoman for the CNA.
“Employees of the Balti Internal Customs Post, customs brokers and economic agents are targeted (…),” Angela Starinschi said.
According to the NAC spokeswoman, law enforcement officials are investigating the involvement of employees of the Balti Internal Customs Post “in systematic corruption schemes when issuing documents related to the customs clearance procedure for imported goods”.
