On Thursday, December 23, the Parliament approved the nine requests submitted by the interim general prosecutor Dumitru Robu regarding the approval of the lifting of the parliamentary immunity of the deputy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interim Prosecutor General Dumitru Robu submitted nine requests to Parliament on Thursday, December 16, requesting the agreement to waive the immunity of fugitive deputy Ilan \u0218or, detaining, arresting, searching and prosecuting him on nine charges, including &#8211; fraud, money laundering, creation or management of a criminal organization, false statements, but also embezzlement of foreign assets and abuse of office. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/?p=8926\" target=\"_blank\">Interim Prosecutor General Requests the Parliament to Lift the Immunity of Ilan Shor<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The president of the Shor Party, Ilan Shor, sentenced in 2017 to seven years and six months in prison for fraud and money laundering, fled Moldova and is wanted internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On August 20, after 10 failed attempts, the Supreme Court of Justice magistrates accepted the request submitted by the lawyer Denis Calaida and ordered the transfer of the criminal case from the Court of Appeal Cahul to the Court of Appeal Chi\u0219in\u0103u. The decision was pronounced by the Criminal College of the Supreme Court of Justice in the composition of the magistrates &#8211; Nadejda Toma, Ion Guzun, and Anatolie \u021aurcan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ilan \u0218or, who is banned from leaving the country, appeared in the public space for the last time on June 12, 2019, during a press conference.
