Management changes took place in the ZdG editorial office. After 17 years of intense activity, Aneta Grosu, the first editor-in-chief of ZdG, retired from this position.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The position of editor-in-chief was taken over by Victor Mo\u0219neag, an investigative reporter, who also held the position of deputy editor-in-chief in recent years. Victor has been working for ZdG for over a decade, managing to become remarkable for his journalistic investigations not only in Moldova but also abroad, being awarded for investigations at national and international competitions. Many of his articles have had an impact not only on readers but also on the system, with many corrupt officials leaving the office or becoming investigated in criminal cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“ZdG will continue to monitor the government and will write, as before, about justice, corruption, and human rights. We will continue to inform the public on all three distribution platforms: print, online, and video. Through new products and impact articles, we will try to become better and better. To be a place where readers will always find the information that matters,” says Victor Mo\u0219neag.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Aneta Grosu stated that she does not retire from ZdG and journalism. As co-founder of ZdG, she claims that the editorial policy will remain the same, based on the critical analysis of public authorities, pursuing acts of injustice and abuse against citizens. She contributed to the conception, launch, and growth of ZdG as an investigative newspaper, but also to the growth of a large number of professionals in the newsroom, Victor Mo\u0219neag being one of her disciples. Thus, ZdG will continue in the same spirit.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Ziarul de Gard\u0103 is the investigation group in Moldova with the largest coverage area and the most content distribution platforms. The printed edition has a circulation of over 11,000 copies per week, thus being the Romanian language newspaper with the largest circulation. ZdG’s website is in the top 5 among all news pages in Moldova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
