They also welcomed cooperation with the Council of Europe in pursuing judicial reform. These changes, they stressed, are aimed at restoring confidence in the state bodies and should build sustainable institutions based on European standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Believing that good governance implied transparency in public life, the co-rapporteurs also said that the ruling party \u2013 with a large majority in parliament \u2013 had now a great responsibility to improve transparency in the financing of political parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They welcomed the progress made in the field of women&#8217;s rights and\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/pace.coe.int\/en\/news\/8473\/les-rapporteurs-de-l-apce-saluent-l-adoption-de-la-loi-de-ratification-de-la-convention-d-istanbul-par-le-parlement-de-la-republique-de-moldova\" target=\"_blank\">congratulated<\/a>\u00a0the Republic of Moldova on the ratification of the Istanbul Convention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, the co-rapporteurs, who visited Tiraspol, noted the readiness of the&nbsp;<em>de facto<\/em>&nbsp;authorities to engage in a dialogue with the&nbsp;<em>PACE Sub-Committee on Conflicts between Council of Europe Member States<\/em>&nbsp;on the protection of human
