A number of 22 medical staff from Moldova went to Ia\u0219i on Monday to help Romania fight the new wave of coronavirus. Moldovan doctors and nurses will intervene in the humanitarian aid mission at the modular hospital for which medical staff is critically needed, according to Health Minister Ala Nemerenco.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a post on a social network, Ala Nemerenco announced that Moldova sends 22 medical staff on Monday, who will work with the medical staff at the modular hospital in Le\u021bcani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Romania has always been with us. At the beginning of the pandemic, when we were all barely learning, they sent that brave team of doctors to our aid. And then, when our colleagues fell, dozens and dozens of trucks with protective equipment came, a help of millions of euros. Then in the winter of 2021, just before the horrific spring wave, columns of trucks full of equipment again filled the Great National Assembly Square. And the most important gesture – the life-saving vaccine, over half a million doses. Now Romania is in a critical situation. With indicators twice as serious as in our country. It is an honor for us to be able to respond in the same way. On Monday, we send to Le\u021bcani, Ia\u0219i a team of 22 doctors and nurses, who will intervene in the humanitarian aid mission within the modular hospital for which medical staff is critically necessary,” announced the Minister of Health.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In this context, the official urged citizens to be vaccinated against COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Vaccinate those who you love and don’t put so much pressure on us. Let us work peacefully, not in conditions of war. To build modern hospitals, to bring equipment, to take care of our elders, not to put oxygen masks to dying lips,” the minister’s message reads.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In May 2020, a team of 42 doctors and nurses from the Ministry of National Defense and the Romanian Ministry of Health came to Moldova to complete the medical teams in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They carried out, for 15 days, activities for providing medical assistance and care to patients diagnosed with COVID-19, as well as training missions for medical staff from health units in B\u0103l\u021bi, Chi\u0219in\u0103u, and Cahul.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
