The Moldovan flag hoisted in Dublin on the 30th anniversary of independence and the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Moldova and Ireland. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Embassy of Moldova in the USA, the tricolor was projected until the morning of August 28, at 6.00 am (local time).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"366\" height=\"206\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/240958890_888328578757175_1779976054296855139_n.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7965\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/240958890_888328578757175_1779976054296855139_n.png 366w, https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/240958890_888328578757175_1779976054296855139_n-360x203.png 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 366px) 100vw, 366px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;One of the major landmarks of the city of S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil &#8211; the building of the Federation of Industries (FIESP), built in 1979, which has a pyramidal design and a height of 99 meters &#8211; 16 floors are illuminated in the colors of the flag of Moldova, honoring 30 years independence of our country.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The flag of Moldova was hoisted in Dublin in the context of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of independence and the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Moldova and Ireland. On August 24, in the heart of Dublin, in one of the most emblematic places on the banks of the River Liffey, near the Ha\u2019penny Bridge, six flags of Moldova were hoisted for a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the representatives of the Embassy of Moldova in Ireland, this initiative also pays tribute to the largest community of Moldovan citizens in Ireland, who lives in Dublin and its suburbs and who are employed in various sectors of the Irish economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative, launched by the Irish Embassy, was supported by the mayors of Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Blanchardstown, where Moldovan citizens live permanently or temporarily, <em>&#8220;who are a strong bridge between the two countries.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On June 11, the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu met with the Ambassador of Ireland in Moldova with her residence in Bucharest, Paul McGarry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;We agreed to think about a collaboration in the field of attracting the diaspora at home, Ireland having a vast experience in this regard,&#8221; said Maia Sandu.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>According to the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, \u201cthe countries will make a joint effort to support the Moldovan community in Ireland, which is a bridge in our bilateral dialogue and which brings an essential contribution to the well-being of both states.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Federation of Industries building in the city of S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil was illuminated in the colors of the flag of Moldova.
