{"id":7763,"date":"2021-08-09T18:02:46","date_gmt":"2021-08-09T15:02:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/?p=7763"},"modified":"2021-08-09T18:02:46","modified_gmt":"2021-08-09T15:02:46","slug":"priests-and-believers-protest-against-compulsory-vaccination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/priests-and-believers-protest-against-compulsory-vaccination\/","title":{"rendered":"Priests and Believers Protest Against Compulsory Vaccination"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Movement of Orthodox Lawyers in Moldova, together with a group of priests, and believers organized a protest against the compulsory vaccination in the Grand National Assembly Square.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The representative of the protesters, Elena B\u00eetc\u0103, announced that she will submit a request to the Presidency of Moldova and the Ministry of Health, by which, on behalf of the protesters, she will demand <em>\u201can end to discrimination and harassment vaccination against COVID-19; vaccination should be based on voluntary principles.\u201d<\/em> Elena B\u00eetc\u0103 also insisted that the new Government should be informed about the attitude of the citizens towards vaccination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Archpriest of Orhei, Iulian Ra\u021b\u0103, confirmed that he came to protest with the blessing of the Metropolitan Church of Moldova, in order to manifest his attitude against compulsory vaccination and to support human freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"740\" height=\"555\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/protest-5-740x555.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"7765\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/protest-5.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/?attachment_id=7765\" class=\"wp-image-7765\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/protest-5-740x555.jpg 740w, https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/protest-5-360x270.jpg 360w, https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/protest-5-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/protest-5.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"740\" height=\"555\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/protest-6-740x555.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"7766\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/protest-6.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/?attachment_id=7766\" class=\"wp-image-7766\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/protest-6-740x555.jpg 740w, https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/protest-6-360x270.jpg 360w, https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/protest-6-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.zdg.md\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/protest-6.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Secretary of the Diocese of Ungheni, Vadim Corostinschi, declared that he came to defend his freedom, as a man and as a citizen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eugen Munteanu, one of the protesters, when asked by ZdG why he is against compulsory vaccination, said that he does not want anyone <em>&#8220;to chip him and be a cyborg.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The theologian Nicolae Fu\u0219tei, asked by ZdG about his position on this protest, declared that he disapproves of <em>&#8220;the participation of priests in political actions, this being certainly a political action.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We requested the opinion of Professor Victor Cojocaru, head of the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Clinic at the Republican Clinical Hospital &#8220;Timofei Mo\u015fneaga&#8221;, where the patients with the most dangerous situation of COVID-19 are hospitalized.
