The Latvian government decided on Thursday, July 8th, to donate a batch of vaccines against Covid-19 to Moldova. The donation of 165,500 doses of the Astra Zeneca vaccine was announced by the Latvian Embassy in Moldova.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In line with Latvia’s continued support to the Eastern Partnership countries, Moldova will receive Vaxzevria vaccines as part of Latvia’s first donation package to partner countries on a bilateral basis. This week, the Latvian government made a decision to donate 165,600 doses of vaccine to five countries: Moldova, Georgia, Albania, Montenegro, and Kenya. The recipients of the vaccines were selected taking into account Latvia’s external political priorities, including supporting stability and promoting cooperation with countries in the neighboring region,” the message reads.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Romanian government has decided to donate a new batch of vaccines against Covid-19 to Moldova. The donation of 100,620 Pfizer-BioNTech comes as a result of the discussions President Maia Sandu had with the Romanian Prime Minister, Florin C\u00ee\u021bu.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romania Donates to Moldova Another 100,000 Doses of Anti-COVID-19 Vaccines<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 11, a batch of 100,800 doses of vaccine against COVID-19 arrived in Moldova as humanitarian aid from Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 7, Moldova received another batch of 100,800 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine from Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vaccination campaign against COVID-19 in Moldova started on March 2, after February 27, in Chi\u0219in\u0103u over 21,000 doses arrived, donated by Romania through the Civil Protection Mechanism to the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
