In order to be declared valid, at least 1\/3 of the number of voters registered in the electoral lists must participate in the election.<br><br>More than one million voters or 36.35% of those registered in the electoral lists had come to the polling stations by 17:00 (EET). The number of those who voted already is much lower compared to the 2016 presidential elections voters&#8217; number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mobilization of the Moldovan Diaspora<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Data from the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) show that by 16.00 more than 82,000 voters had cast their votes abroad- a number greater than the 2016&#8217;s representation of voters in the first round of the presidential election.
