The National Integrity Authority organized the written test of the competition for filling the position of integrity inspector.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the National Integrity Authority, five candidates were admitted to the interview test, including ex-prosecutor Andrei B\u0103e\u0219u, who left the prosecutor’s office in January 2020. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of 2020, the Prosecutor General, Alexandr Stoianoglo, opened a criminal case against some decision-makers and some prosecutors from the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, accusing them of interference in the conduct of criminal proceedings to investigate bank fraud and other crimes. This case is also investigating B\u0103e\u0219u. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 17, 2020, the National Integrity Authority organized the written test of the competition for filling the position of integrity inspector, resumed on May 11, 2020. Four candidates motivated their absence and the other two candidates did not attend the written test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The members of the competition committee checked the tests presented and admitted five candidates to the interview test, with the following grades:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Rodion Rusnac – 7.84<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Doina Popovici – 7.74<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Andrei Bae\u0219u – 7.64<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Zinaida Gu\u021bu -7.08<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Constan\u021bia Grosu – 7.01<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, the former-prosecutor Andrei B\u0103e\u0219u<\/strong> was also admitted to the interview test. B\u0103e\u0219u<\/strong> was a prosecutor in the first instance in the Platon case. He left the office in January 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of 2020, the Prosecutor General, Alexandr Stoianoglo, opened a criminal case against some decision-makers and some prosecutors from the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, accusing them of interference in the conduct of criminal proceedings to investigate bank fraud and other crimes. This case is also investigating B\u0103e\u0219u. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2017, B\u0103e\u015fu, a prosecutor at the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, requested the judges to implement one of the most resounding convictions in the recent history of Moldova, convicting Platon in the bank fraud case. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, Platon was tried in a closed trial, received 18 years of imprisonment with execution in a closed penitentiary, and goods that would belong to him, worth over \u20ac40.61 million (800 million lei), were seized. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bae\u015fu worked in the prosecutor’s office for nine years. He was appointed prosecutor at the Ialoveni Prosecutor’s Office in September 2011. Three years later, Bae\u015fu was appointed as a prosecutor at the Anticorruption Prosecutor\u2019s Office by the then Prosecutor General, Valeriu Zubco. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bae\u015fu graduated from the National Institute of Justice. He was a group colleague of the prosecutor Adriana Be\u0163i\u015for, who investigated the case of the former Prime Minister Vlad Filat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the National Integrity Authority, the candidates will have to pass an interview and a simulated behavior detector test (polygraph).
