The leader of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party, Andrei N\u0103stase, declares that Romania would be ready to support a new pro-European government, led by the Dignity and Truth Platform Party.\u00a0The statement was made during a press conference in which he stated the results of the visit to Romania state.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The\u00a0week I spent in Bucharest brought the conviction that a Government led by the Dignity and Truth Platform Party will be supported for the implementation of the reforms that Moldova needs so much.\u00a0I mentioned that the future Government, which we are ready to head, supported by Romania and the European Union (EU), will manage to get Moldova out of the generalized crisis it experience<\/em>“, said N\u0103stase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, the leader of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party appealed to all members of Parliament to support the no-confidence vote filed against the Chicu Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are obliged to give up pretexts, excuses, motives, and pride.\u00a0The only reasonable solution that Moldova has is a pro-European Government capable of delivering results in a very short time.\u00a0Now, it is your turn, deputies. We urge you to sign the no-confidence vote launched by the Dignity and Truth Platform Party, to oust the Chicu Government, and to install the pro-European Government assumed by the Dignity and Truth Platform Party<\/em><\/em>,” pointed out N\u0103stase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In November 2019, the antioligarchic government led by Prime Minister Maia Sandu, co-leader of the ACUM Bloc, was ousted by their coalition partners, the Socialist Party, supported by the Democratic Party. The Socialist and the Democratic Parties voted for a new so-called technocratic government led by Prime Minister Ion Chicu, a former adviser of the President Igor Dodon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Andrian Candu, the godson of Vladimir Plahotniuc, Moldova’s biggest oligarch, left the Democratic Party together with other six deputies. Until the end of June 2020, the Socialist-Democratic Party coalition lost the majority in the parliament, with several deputies switching the party to the newly formed Pro Moldova Party, led by Candu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
