The Ministry noted that over \u20ac1.2 million was used to purchase protective equipment and to grant single allowances to healthcare workers who got infected with COVID-19 at work.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Finance noted that the money (over \u20ac1.3 million) was transferred to the Government Intervention Fund, according to the Law on Public Finance and Fiscal Budgetary Responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Government Decisions no. 245\/2020, 250\/2020, 287\/2020, and 422\/2020, until now, the government distributed over \u20ac1.2 million (23.528 million lei), money donated by people to support the authorities in the fight against COVID-19.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Finance also noted that previously the government used part of the money to purchase 51,428 protective suits, worth over 301,000 euros (5.864 million lei), and to grant single allowances amounting to around \u20ac1 million (18.128 million lei) to over 1,000 healthcare workers or other employees working for the state institutions, who got infected with COVID-19 at work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Finance initiated a crowdfunding campaign to encourage people and companies to donate money in the fight against the COVID-19 infection. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following a crowdfunding campaign initiated by the authorities to fight the COVID-19, the representatives of the Ministry of Finance claimed that the institutions gathered over \u20ac1.3 million (25,414,401.80 lei).
