The latest confirmation of this commitment is the achievement of LEED v4.1 O+M Platinum certification, the highest international standard awarded to buildings for operational performance, efficiency, and sustainability, for five landmark buildings in Chi\u0219in\u0103u with a combined area of approximately 90,000 square metres. These include Shopping MallDova, MallDova Center (Endava Tower), Medpark International Hospital, Courtyard by Marriott Chisinau, and Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel Chisinau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LEED certification is a recognition that reflects Summa\u2019s commitment to sustainable development and to aligning its assets with the highest international standards of performance and management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a globally recognised certification system, used in 187 countries, that serves as a benchmark for the design, operation, and evaluation of sustainable buildings. It was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, one of the leading professional authorities in the field. Platinum is the highest level of certification within the LEED system and is awarded to properties that achieve at least 80 out of a possible 100 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LEED certification demonstrates that continued investment in building efficiency generates significant benefits, both from a business perspective and in terms of the long-term relevance of projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evaluation process lasted five months, and one of the key findings  was a measurable reduction in resource consumption across all five buildings compared to similar properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These buildings scored above average in the Indoor Environmental Quality category, thanks to superior indoor air quality, confirmed through specific measurements and calculations of fresh air intake in line with applicable international standards. In addition, the Waste Management category highlighted above-average performance, driven by the implementation of effective systems for monitoring and managing selective waste collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shopping MallDova reduced its water consumption through the installation of efficient sanitary equipment, while MallDova Office (Endava Tower), Medpark International Hospital, Courtyard by Marriott, and Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel achieved reductions in energy consumption through the optimisation of their technical systems. Medpark also stood out in the Water Consumption category, through reduced water use and its continuous monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The certification process included a rigorous review of on-site performance and documentation covering the previous 12 months, including indoor air quality measurements and an ASHRAE audit of building systems, as well as the consolidation of energy, water, and waste data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the market in the Republic of Moldova, this certification positions Summa\u2019s portfolio among the most relevant examples of assets operated to international sustainability standards. In a context where ESG criteria carry increasing weight in the decisions of investors, operators, and international tenants, such validations are becoming a concrete indicator of asset quality and of their ability to remain competitive over the long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
