The country\u2019s Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration released the 2019 progress report on the plan\u2019s implementation on August 7.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the report, the authorities have managed to implement 48.83 percent of the Action plan, completing 63 of the 129 total actions. 66 actions remain to be implemented.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three criminal cases have been opened in response to the investigation into the multi-billion dollar bank fraud in 2014. What\u2019s more, the authorities stated that on July 1, the prosecuting body of the National Anticorruption Center opened 22 criminal cases related to the bank fraud, eight of which involved 14 accused persons and are to be completed this year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/zdg.md\/eng\/investigative\/kroll-2-report-77-shor-group-companies-received-2-9-billion-in-loans\"><strong>Kroll-2 Report: 77 Shor Group Companies Received $2.9 Billion In Loans<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/zdg.md\/eng\/political\/video-moldova-received-40-25-million-euros-from-the-e-u\"><strong>VIDEO \/ Moldova Received 40.25 Million euros from the E.U.<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry also praised the actions taken in the field of economic cooperation, social policy, industrial policy, but also equal opportunities for men and women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the report also shows that the authorities have yet to carry out a number of important actions, such as approving the National Waste Management Program and National Anti-drug Strategy, and extending the use of the Facial Recognition System in policing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The European Union and the Republic of Moldova signed the Association Agreement in Brussels, Belgium on June 27, 2014.
